Got an X-ray image worth showing off? Submit your best X-ray and RGB image set for a chance to be featured in the 2027 KUBTEC Calendar.
Submission Guidelines
- Each entrant may make up to five (5) submissions.
- A submission must include one (1) X-ray image and its corresponding optical (RGB) image.
- X-ray images must be .TIFF format. RGB images must be .PNG format.
- Submissions must be received by Thursday, October 15, 2026, at midnight ET. Complete the submission entry form to send your images.
- Each image must be captured on a KUBTEC X-ray instrument — please include the instrument name with your submission.
- Tell us how you'd like your image credited (name, title, institution, etc.).
The KUBTEC Scientific Image Contest opens August 31, 2026 and is open to all individuals 18 years of age or older. Employees of KUBTEC Scientific and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate. The Contest is open to the United States and is void where prohibited by law.
Judging
Submissions will be evaluated by a panel of judges selected by KUBTEC. Images will be judged based on image quality and visual interest. Relevance to KUBTEC's imaging applications is encouraged but not required. KUBTEC's decisions are final and binding in all matters related to the Contest.
Prizes
One (1) Grand Prize winner will receive an Amazon gift card valued at $250 USD where available, or a Visa or Mastercard prepaid card of equivalent value in jurisdictions where Amazon gift cards are not available or redeemable. The Grand Prize winner will also have their winning image featured on the cover of the 2027 KUBTEC Scientific calendar. KUBTEC reserves the right to award additional prizes of equivalent type and value at its sole discretion. No cash substitution is permitted except as described herein. Prize winners are responsible for any applicable taxes.
Use of Submitted Images
Entrants retain full ownership and copyright of their submitted images at all times. The rights granted to KUBTEC herein constitute a license to use the image as described and do not transfer ownership or copyright to KUBTEC. It is the entrant's responsibility to ensure that their submitted image does not infringe upon the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any third party.
Winner Notification
Winner(s) will be notified by email on or around October 21, 2026. If a winner cannot be contacted within 10 days, KUBTEC reserves the right to select an alternate winner. General Conditions KUBTEC reserves the right to cancel, modify, or suspend the Contest at any time. By entering, participants agree to be bound by these rules and the decisions of KUBTEC, which are final.
Image Release
By submitting my image, I grant KUBTEC a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use my image in its annual calendar and any printed and web-based publications for lawful marketing and promotional purposes. This includes the right to copy, publish, and distribute my image, with reasonable efforts made to preserve the original, except for edits such as resizing, cropping, or the possibility of combining my X-ray image with the corresponding optical (RGB) image if included.I confirm that I am the original creator and sole owner of my submitted image and retain full copyright at all times. The license granted herein does not transfer ownership or copyright to KUBTEC. I understand that KUBTEC will credit my image according to my stated preferences.
